Olivia A. Lowery is a  15-year-old 10th grader. If you were to ask when she started writing, she would state the cliché ‘all my life’, but if you asked when she got serious, that would be in 8th grade; Olivia remembers words coming so vivid and exact to her. Since then, she has been always writing and perfecting her craft and has even been published in a few places: South Gwinnett High School’s award winning literary magazine, Myriad, Snellville Middle’s short-lived literary magazine, Mosaic, In a celebration of Poet’s: An anthology 2009-2010 and Speak Up, an online literary magazine. To add to this, Olivia is also a part of the Alliance Theatre’s Youth Poetry Slam Team and works with the Atlanta Young Writer’s Institute (AWYI). Olivia is proud, nonetheless, of these accomplishments and, in the future, aspires to have her poetry published readily so that anyone will be able to read it and feel the emotions that she felt when writing.
