An avid traveler, Brendan James images of landscapes, wildlife and local people from the foothills of the Himalayas to the shores of Cape Eleuthera. Through his film and photography, he strives to suspend time in a way that invites the viewer to fall into the world he captures. His photography has been published in national print magazines such as Ranger Rick and Tech & Learning, and has been exhibited at the Morris Art Museum in Morristown. NJ, the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, New Jersey, and (forthcoming) a solo exhibition at the Caldwell Arts Council Arts in Healing Gallery at Caldwell Memorial Library in Lenoir, NC. He won a 2013 Scholastic Gold Key for Film & Video and a 2012 Gold Key for Photography, as well as a 2011 Honorable Mention from Protect Our Wetlands.
